Wedding photography at Cripps Barn — Maddy and Josh

Wedding photography at Cripps barn here and I really love shooting at this venue. This was the second day of Maddy and Josh’s celebration, their first night having been at Branca in Oxford. This wedding was a fantastic blend of English, Scottish, New York Jewish and bit of Mexican thrown in for good measure. Confused? When you see the pictures you will see what I mean. Congratulations Maddy and Josh and here are a few of my favourites here.

Tammy and Sam — a wedding on a Canal boat.

I really liked shooting this wedding because Tammy and Sam were my perfect kind of clients — they just forgot about me and let me get on with doing what I feel comfortable with — mooching around and taking pictures of what interests me with little or no formality. Having a Jewish ceremony ( as well as a Christian one) in a Christian church also helped and a reception on a canal boat was the icing on the cake. A few favourites here.

Nicola and Sam — A wedding at Whitstable Castle and the Lobster shack.

Wedding at Whitstable castle.  I love photographing weddings by the sea, it adds a really lovely dynamic to the day. Not so long ago I shot  Nicolas sister’s wedding so I felt quite familiar with the family who I knew to be relaxed and  good fun. Whitstable castle is lovely venue with mostly very nice light and has its own real charm. The Lobster shack as always was a brilliant reception venue being actually on the beach, probably less than a stones throw! Fish and chips out of a van and ice cream from a real life ice cream vendor — it felt more like a lovely day out at the seaside than a wedding to be honest. A few of my favourites here. Congratulations Nicola and Sam!

  2. Bob Owen - The British seaside has always had a bright breezy and fun feel to it and you've captured all that spirit along with a cracking wedding. Smashing coverage Mark
