Wedding photography at Cripps Barn — Maddy and Josh

Wedding photography at Cripps barn here and I really love shooting at this venue. This was the second day of Maddy and Josh’s celebration, their first night having been at Branca in Oxford. This wedding was a fantastic blend of English, Scottish, New York Jewish and bit of Mexican thrown in for good measure. Confused? When you see the pictures you will see what I mean. Congratulations Maddy and Josh and here are a few of my favourites here.

Rebecca and Mathew, Wedding photography at Arley Hall, Cheshire — Part 1

As a London wedding photographer  it’s nice to get up north every once in a while as it gives me an opportunity to spend a little time with my brother  Michael who lives in Sheffield. I’d met Rebecca and Mathew so long ago I must confess I had forgotten what she looked like but a  warm greeting by 5 northern lasses at the  hairdressers in Alderly edge was a good start for the day, even if I didnt know which one the bride was!  Im dividing this wedding into two parts as Arley Hall was such and amazing place to photograph and this day had so much going on from start to finish. Congratulations Rebecca and Mathew!

Wedding photography at Claridges — Lucy and Jonathan, part 1

Wedding photography at Claridges here, somewhere Ive always wanted to photograph as one of Londons finest hotels and wedding venues. I hadnt met Lucy before since she had booked me on the phone and I rarely comment on how brides look but I was immediately struck by Lucy’s film-star looks, in some way reminding me of Audrey Hepburn in her prime ( which was most of her life actually!). Not long after I got there I found out that many of Lucy’s family and friends were professional photographers, so no pressure there then! It was a brilliant wedding just before christmas and Lucy was kind enough to write me a delightful testimonial of which I will always be proud :

‘All our friends who had experience of planning weddings has impressed upon us the importance of finding a good photographer. We looked at numerous websites but were reluctant to book someone whose style was too trite or overengineered. Fortunately we found Mark.

He has been a pleasure to deal with throughout the process, and has delivered what we consider to be an immaculate set of photos, with which we are thrilled. They not only doccument the day brilliantly, but more importantly are stunning images with enlightened compositions which can only be achieved by someone with an incredible talent. Mark was so unobtrusive that some questioned whether we actually had a photographer(!) but therein lies his talent– he quietly captures the subtleties that so many others would just miss, and Importantly he didn’t sacrafice us looking our best in the pursuit of photojournalistic realism– he achieved a perfect balance.

Very many thanks again.

Lucy and Jonathan’
